NYC Bucket List

I moved to NYC in November of 2008 and I’ve had a great time so far!

But, as you can imagine, there are still a ton of things that I want to check off before I leave this great city.

And so, to fullfil one of my 2012 New Years Resolutions and to motivate me to get out there are try these things, I present my NYC Bucket List.  I’m sure I’ll be adding to this as I think of more things that I would like to do, and I’d love some of your suggestions as well!

And here are some eats from Monday for ya…

Breakfast: Fresh strawberries with yogurt (it’s berry season in FL…finally something fresh that isn’t an apple!)

Topped with natural/organic granola, of course.

Lunch: Salad, featuring carrots and some sweet potatoes and ham.  Apple for a snack – “An apple a day keeps the doctor away!”  I also munched on half of a raisin scone that a coworker brought in for their last day of work

Dinner: I made chicken enchiladas tonight by shredding up some chicken, stuffing them whole wheat wraps and topping them with fresh cheese and sauce.  They turned out soooooo good!  My green enchiladas are on the left and Hubs’s red enchiladas are on the right.  In keeping with my recent Shabbott’s Habit, to minimize processed convenience foods from my diet, my enchilada sauce was just salsa verde (no preservatives).

Enchilada served with veggies for me!

And some Healthy Snickerdoodles with a scoop of natural peanut butter for dessert.

What a great idea–I envy your having all those great restaurants nearby! I particularly look forward to hearing what you think about Per Se.

  2. Anna says:

Ok, so H&H bagels are not that good. I have never seen anyone in Baked by Melissa. It looks like a sterile place where cupcakes go to die (or to be donated to a shelter, I hope)

Happy to help you with the Bucket list: Corner Bistro (really good burger!) , Luke’s Lobster (there is one on UWS), and Momofuko :-) .

  3. Anna says:

Also, Morimoto’s should be enjoyed only in Philadelphia and Red Rooster is way over-rated. As is Fatty Crab. Tons of Chinatown places 100x better and 10x cheaper….speaking of which, we could do dim sum :-)
